Photo Friday: Puddle Jumping

We were happy to be able to take all four kiddos to Pioneer Reunion (Clay County’s big yearly festivities). There’s multiple parades and a great rodeo as well.

Boot fever struck our house as we got ready to head out there and realized only one of the twins would have a pair of boots. Heaven forbid that we would go to the rodeo without boots!!! So… off to Waggoner’s we went to get another pair. They luckily had a cute pair for us.

We got ready for the big event- the rodeo. Everyone was dressed up and ready for a great night so we headed to the area. It started sprinkling just as we got there so Garen pulled up the weather and it looked like it wasn’t going to amount too much and would quickly pass.

Well- we were right about it quickly passing but we ended up huddled in one of the concession stands with four kids (and a bunch of other folks they allowed in) as it pounded down rain and even hail. Will and Anna were good even though they were very concerned about a tornado coming. And Clara and Kate were just happy to be held by Mama and Daddy for 20 solid minutes.

Since we were all fairly drenched and knew the seats were going be wet too, we headed back to the house with some sad kids.

Thanks to the shower though there were nice sized puddles and we all thoroughly enjoyed playing in them while Garen snapped a few shots. Everyone ended up happy.

Boots are perfect for puddle jumping, right?!?

Happy Photo Friday, y’all!!!
