Slow Cooker Saturday: (Not Really) Baked Beans

We had family and friends over after Anna’s dance recital tonight for burgers. I needed a side dish and I love baked beans with burgers. But I was at the recital and I didn’t feel like using the oven since it’s so hot.

Sooooo…using the crockpot seemed to be the best way to get it done. Plus, I got a new fancy crockpot that I’ve been itching to use!

Isn’t she beautiful?

Anywho….I looked on Pinterest to find an easy recipe but couldn’t find one that I liked completely, so I used a combination of recipes.   Crockpot Baked Beans

 Ingredients:

  • 6 cans Bush’s Baked Beans
  • 1 large red onion chopped
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 4 tbsp mustard

  Instructions:

Pour into the crockpot and stir it up. Cook it on low 6-8 hours.

Warning: This makes a lot. Probably enough for 16 big servings.

    Easy enough, right?!?

Garen’s review: “The beans were good, babe.” And “Yes, really” after I asked him if he was serious.

My Review:  They were pretty tasty. And they make your kitchen smell awesome. The best part though:  they are super easy!
